RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, candidates will lead our client’s PR strategy, seeking opportunities for media coverage, build a press network and develop communications to help reach clients and new audiences.
Develop PR and media relations strategy
Build a network of key contacts, nurture relationships with stakeholders and journalists
Track media coverage and keep ahead of tenancy trends & news
Seek opportunities to help the organisation reach new audiences by featuring across all mediums
Achieve high quality backlinks to organisation website, aiming for link features and mentions
across relevant websites, blogs and directories
Report to the Marketing Manager, collaborating with the wider marketing and internal
teams for press opportunities
Ideate new and creative angles/campaigns to encourage features
Support product launches, including preparing press releases and media outreach
Candidate Profile:
Our client is looking for a self-motivated, organised individual with strong communication skills and aptitude for building relationships.
The ideal candidate will have:
Professional experience in a public relations role (or a self starter with a strong interest in developing these skills).
Background in writing and editing promotional materials such as press releases
Strong communication skills (verbally and written)
Proven experience in working independently on self-managed projects
High attention to detail, with accuracy and excellent spelling and grammar
‘Can do’ attitude - keen to embrace the challenges of PR!
Team player mentality
