Position Title: Business Analyst
Location: Cremorne / Richmond, Victoria, Australia
Remuneration: $90K- $100K AUD (negotiable based on experience & skills)

The Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for analysis and documentation of business requirements to create high level and detailed design documentation, including user stories, use cases and traceability to back to the business requirements. Fundamental to the role is supporting test functions for project deliveries and reviewing test cases to ensure alignment with design and business requirements. The BA works reports to the Project Lead and collaboratively with other departments and clients.

Analysis and documentation of business requirements
Creation of high level and detailed design documentation including user stories, use cases and traceability to business requirements
Support of test function for project deliveries and review of test cases to ensure alignment with design and business requirements
Performing of internal acceptance testing and documentation of test results
Support of customer’s User Acceptance Testing
Investigation and documentation of production issues
Involvement in production release related activities such as writing release notes, moving configuration between environments

Strong communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical resources
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritise & ability to scrutinise customer requirements (i.e. business purpose/output) and guide customer to prioritise requirements (collaboratively, using facts & finesse)
Excellent organisation skills
Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant tertiary qualifications and /or experience
At least 2-3 years practical experience in a similar role
Strong understanding of BA methodologies and tools to effectively document, track and manage business requirements as well as their traceability throughout the project lifecycle
Excellent communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical resources effectively and to be able to run stakeholder meetings
Strong documentation and writing skills to document requirements and the design clearly and concisely
Good knowledge in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Visio, Word) and Atlassian products Confluence and Jira
Experience in motor claims industry desirable
